the audio files are in .mp3 format. to save .mp3s to your computer, control-click (mac users) or right click (windows users) on the song link.

tracks are generally encoded at 160 kb/s. more recent uploads (post-2009) are generally encoded at 192 kb/s. all tracks are considered “bootleg quality” as they are not mixed or mastered in any way, unless otherwise noted.

a description of the sources for each of the downloads is as follows:

• bootleg = audience recording via DAT, video camera or similar device
• mix = venue soundboard mixed with monitor feeds the band hears on stage
• radio broadcast = recording from a radio broadcast
• radio session = radio session master (direct or copy)
• soundboard = venue soundboard
• television broadcast = recording from a television broadcast

files with a blank upload date were posted prior to october, 2007.

the trashcans and sunny day service have been long-time friends, collaborators and touring partners in japan and are playing 3 shows together on the upcoming tour. they’ve now joined forces for a new 2 track japanese e.p. from rose records. the trashcans have recently recorded a demo for a new song called “town foxes” and the second track on the e.p. is a japanese version of “town foxes”, sung by sokabe/sunny day service over the tcs backing track. the “town foxes” e.p. is limited to 500 copies and will be sold at the upcoming japanese shows on march 1-4.

in the music will be distributed digitally by ingrooves, who should have the album available through all of your favorite digital downloads serives.

physical distribution is being handled by fontana distribution, which is part of universal music group (home of the first 3 trashcan sinatras albums).

the band expects to release “people” (video here) as a single to radio and to tour north america in june/july in support of the album release.

"in the music" 512 mb usb stick

shows from the 2009 tours are now available.  the shows are “bootleg quality” - they are unedited and unmastered, the same recordings that were available immediately after each show. they were recorded from the soundboard or monitor feeds as 192 kb/s mp3 files, with the entire show as one file (approximately 100-120 mb), unless otherwise indicated.

you can buy shows in one of two ways:
1. on a trashcan sinatras “in the music” 512 mb usb drive.  if you order more than one show, they will be combined onto the same drive, space permitting, OR
2. as a download (save more than $5).

usb sticks will also come loaded with a high-quality .mov file of the video for “people”. those who order a live show via download will also receive a link to download the “people” video.
